I enjoy making books. I make them and give them away usually. But this one was made just for me with some of my ocean and beach photos. I used a lot of fibers in this book as they reminded me of the movement of the surf. There is one page in this book that I'm still not completely pleased with - you'll know which one it is - and it may get redone eventually, but for now, it is what it is.
One of the other outlets for my creative juices is sewing. I love to make doll clothes and clothes for small people! Here are some photos of a fairy outfit for my ball-jointed doll. The green and gold trim on the skirt inspired the outfit. The wings are from a digital scrapbook kit that I enlarged, printed on a transparency and then bonded with the gold skirt fabric. I think that qualifies the outfit as altered art!
Here are a few more Story People pages. I'd really like to know how my previous postings all disappeared. But gone is gone - so I'll just post everything again!
These images are of some pages I did for an altered art exchange. Each person had a theme for a book they were making and each of us did pages for the others in their theme. My theme was fairies and the book still isn't finished. Someday when it is, I'll scan it. These are paper creations, some have some digital work, but mostly paper, fibers and other elements.
